In the healthcare sector the French SESAM-Vitale system is the most advanced in Europe. XIRING’s challenge is to maintain our position as leader in this field and continue to win a growing share of the market. XIRING provides healthcare professionals with software, equipment and services to help secure the financial transactions associated with electronic medical claim forms. The success of our solutions confirms that we are using the right approach, which is based on our aim to offer healthcare professionals solutions which are best suited to their actual needs, both in terms of practicality and flexibility. On the basis of our success in France, we are continuing to develop healthcare applications with partners in other countries, including Germany where we began marketing our products in June 2009.

Government e-ID systems, whether it’s electronic passports, smart ID cards or travel cards for public transport in city centres, there are a number of new markets opening up with great potential for growth. XIRING is already working on a number of projects either directly or with major partners and we are seeing a significant acceleration in programmes which have been in the pipeline for a considerable time. This is an important sector for us over the next couple of years. 

 
At the time of our IPO in 2006, we had communicated 3 strategic objectives:
- to become one of the top 3 global players in banking authentication
- to become number 1 in France of SESAM Vitale healthcare terminals, and
- prepare for new growth around electronic identity.
 
Today, these objectives are met or exceeded and this is why we set new goals for 2014.
In Healthcare, XIRING enjoys a unique position and our leadership status and our expertise within the SESAM-Vitale dematerialised healthcare system, the world's most advanced system, represent great advantages for us to expand internationally. We already have references in Europe and we intend to be present whenever a health card system will be put in place in Europe. XIRING has already demonstrated its ability to expand internationally, and all this, combined with the mastery of technology and the entire value chain; we can set ourselves an ambitious target for 2014: to become the leading provider of solutions for health card schemes in Europe.
 
Finally, the Electronic identity is to us a major new growth. It is a market that will provide start-up opportunities in infrastructure equipment, both at government level and citizens at home. We will position ourselves to seize these opportunities in Europe.
